Disetronic Medical Systems, manufacturer of the ACCU-CHEKŪ Spirit insulin pump system, is looking for certified pump trainers in
Louisiana. You must be a registered healthcare professional, preferably with insulin pump experience. Following is the process of becoming a pump trainer:
Certification is part of a quality assurance program that is accomplished by learning to program an insulin pump, observing and demonstrating pump operations and training techniques, and passing a written examination.
The trainer must demonstrate competency in multiple areas, including a standardized training checklist for each product. The certified trainer receives a certificate for display upon completion of certification.
Certification must be renewed every 2 years. If you are interested in becoming a certified pump trainer.
Clinical Support / Insulin Pump Specialist
Full-Time position working for one of the manufacturers.
Duties: Responsible for in-servicing of products to patients and health care professionals. Responsible for certifying other CDE’s to become CPT’s. Supporting sales rep as needed.
Location: This territory covers all of Louisiana & Southern Mississippi. Flexible as to where this person lives. MUST be willing to travel 50% of the time.
Requirements: MUST be an RN or RD CDE. Certified Pump Trainer (CPT) strongly preferred. Ideal candidate will have managed patients from start to finish on an insulin pump. Must be willing to travel.

PRN RD interested in working only ICU and Nutrition Support, 15 hours/week, and every 4th weekend. Work with the Nutrition Support team who manages ALL aspects of TPN, including electrolyte riders and sliding scale insulins according to physician protocols. Hourly rate is competitive.
